Beléptünk a tudatosság új formájába, a világ új jelentésbeli halmazaiba.

We have entered a new form of consciousness, a new set of meanings in the world. Modernity has created a diffuse reality that finds its way everywhere. The atomic bomb, which shattered the boundaries of human perception, not only launched America’s great scientific era but also, transcending its own physical limits, seeped into everyday life. The global and the local are no longer opposing entities; the atom’s power to transcend borders has transformed both the political and the personal spheres. It has crept into morning coffees, street conversations, and the frames of newly emerging media.

Időbelisége sem stabil, a robbanás pillanatát a sugárzás ereje élteti tovább, életeket, korszakokat,
évezredeket áthidalva. A modernitás uncanny változata azonban utolsó nemzeti gesztusként is felfogható, az utolsó emberi nyom letételeként.

Its temporality is not stable either; the moment of the explosion is kept alive by the power of radiation, spanning lives, eras, and millennia. This uncanny version of modernity, however, can also be understood as a final national act, as the deposition of the last human trace.

The test sites appear as urban simulacra, imitating a sense of home and social presence
as evidence of the American Dream. However, there is no original version; the goal is destruction,
through which its power becomes visible, measurable, and replicable. Its visual significance is born at this moment, as the mannequins, empty rooms, and white fences abandoned in the desert take on the form of true icons.

Munkám során ennek a jelenségnek a megfoghatatlanságát formáltam vizuális nyelvvé, az uncanny ismerősségének hangulatát felhasználva.
A képek sterilsége, műanyag érzete szintén erre a plasztikusságra emlékeztet.

In my work, I have transformed the abstract nature of this phenomenon into a visual language, drawing on the atmosphere of the uncanny’s familiarity. The sterility and plastic-like quality of the images also evoke this sense of unreality.

A munka a 2025-ös Friss Hús filmfesztivál horror szekciójára készült a Moholy-Nagy Művészeti Egyetem ID spot órának keretén belül.

This work was created for the horror section of the 2025 Friss Hús Film Festival as part of the ID spot course at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
